GamMiOk Korean
Restaurant (June 12, 2007) This is a small
Korean Restaurant that specializes in a traditional Korean
soup called "Seolleontang."
It is a beef bone broth prepared by slow cooking for more
than 24 hours. The owner proudly showed us the huge soup
pot. We ordered "Dal Sot Bi Bim Bab," a rice
bowl with mixed veggies, pork, fried egg, hot pepper paste
in a hot ceramic pot. The management showed us how to
eat Kimchi wrapped in a cabbage leaf. He also showed us
how to mix the ingredients in the rice bowl, adding a
slightly spicy paste and the Seolleontang to it. We love
it and for nutritional value, we made the quota. It's
always fun to learn about another culture and try out
new foods. We thank the management for their hospitality.
