Wuxi - Movieland (March 25, 2007) Weather forecast
predicted rain, shower, T-storm and so forth. Since weather
is as unpredictable as a woman, we decided to take our
one day tour to Wuxi, rain or shine. Guess what? Our prayers
were answered. There was no rain. In fact, we had a bit
of sunshine in the afternoon. No wind and plenty of warmth
(60-70 degrees). We were elated. 21 of us left for Wuxi
on the Suzhou
Youth Travel's tour bus. It took one and a half hour
to get to our first stop: Wuxi Movieland - Land of the
Three Kingdoms. It's a theme park setting where many of
China's movies were and will be made here. For us expats,
the visit was delightful. We also thank our Chinese tour
guide and Sunny, our English tour guide for making this
day a memorable and fun day. In the afternoon we toured
the Tai Hu Scenic areas. (Tai
